Key Highlights:
- Strictly outpatient practice with no on-call responsibilities
- Collaborative team environment with a Board Certified PM&R/Pain Management trained physician and dedicated staff
- Access to robust in-house medical imaging facilities
- Practice sites at two locations (Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, NY) within 25 minutes driving distance
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, to provide treatment options
- Medication management with a focus on non-opioid medications
- Follow-up with patients to assess response to treatment, including physical therapy, medications, and interventional therapies
- Opportunity to learn and perform office-based procedural therapies, such as large joint injections and trigger point injections
- Interventional spinal procedures, including discussing indications and details with patients, informing patients of risks and benefits, and post-procedure assessment

Optum NY/NJ was formed in 2022 by bringing together Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical, and ProHealth Care. Our regional alignment combines resources and services across the care continuum, from preventative medicine to diagnostics to treatment and beyond. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, we provide patient-focused medical care to the entire family.
Requirements:
- Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process
- Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, Masters level preferred
- National Board Certification
- Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in at least one of the following specialties: Orthopedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Neurology, and/or Neurosurgery
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $114,784 to $160,000 per year. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
