Job Title: Powder Coat Painter

At Argon Industries, we are seeking a skilled Powder Coat Painter to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely setting up and operating powder application equipment to paint various shapes and sizes of steel and aluminum components on a moving conveyor line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Powder Coat Paint Lead to ensure all parts are properly painted and work instructions are followed precisely.
  • Set up and safely operate all production equipment while maintaining set quality standards which meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Make needed adjustments to the painting process to ensure quality parts are produced at all times.
  • Maintain powder levels in production paint hoppers throughout the day.
  • Clean powder booths and remove waste powder.
  • Maintain an exceptionally clean environment at all times.
  • Track powder usage for all production runs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of powder coat painting experience.
  • Ability to work positively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, job shop environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Safety shoes – steel-toed.
  • Ability to complete a 90-day probationary period.
Language and Math Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop orders, purchase orders, and production documentation.
  • Ability to complete pick lists, purchase orders, schedules, and assigned reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning and Computer Skills:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software; Project Management software.
