Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing AP vouchers, managing vendor accounts, and performing various administrative tasks to support the AP team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process AP vouchers and invoices on a weekly basis
  • Manage vendor accounts, including address and payment preferences
  • Administer the FedEx shipping application
  • Prepare and submit annual 1099 reports
  • Provide audit support and assist with AP-related questions and reporting

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required with a minimum of 2-5 years accounting-related experience and/or an associate degree in accounting or business
  • Experience with Accounts Payable processing, including AP matching and validations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to navigate spreadsheets
  • Excellent data entry skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Desired Requirements:

  • Familiarity with government accounting, especially federal government, the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and the Federal Travel Regulations
  • Ability to apply knowledge and work in a complex job cost environment
  • Deltek Costpoint experience
