Research Engineer I

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Engineer to join our Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will provide technical oversight of the research laboratory operations focused on in-vitro/preclinical/clinical imaging.
The Research Engineer will be responsible for designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems, facilitating construction and maintenance of custom lab equipment, and maintaining instrumentation. They will also serve as a technical source for researchers in the laboratory and perform other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related area, and experience in mechanical fabrication and/or circuitry. Programming skills in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, or C++ are desirable. The ability to assess and remedy difficult problems and situations quickly and efficiently, as well as work well alone and in a team environment, are essential.
