Job Summary

The School Based Mental Health Liaison will provide direct mental health services to children and families in the school setting. This includes individual and group counseling, advocacy, linkage, and referral services. The Liaison will also provide training and education to teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling to children and families in the school setting.
  • Advocate for children and families to access mental health services and resources.
  • Link children and families with community resources and services.
  • Provide training and education to teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.
  • Collaborate with school staff and community agencies to provide comprehensive services to children and families.
  • Document all services provided and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a human services field such as counseling or social work.
  • Two years of experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
