We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a key member of our school-based mental health program, you will provide critical support to students, teachers, and families in Claiborne, Grainger, and Hamblen counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual consultation to teachers to enhance the learning environment for students at risk of developing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse problems.
- Develop and implement training programs for teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.
- Collaborate with families to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and provide direct services to identified students.
- Conduct mental health assessments, evaluations, and counseling sessions as needed.
- Participate in IEP and other school-related meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work.
- At least two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems, or two years of experience with adolescent substance use/abuse prevention.
- Experience leading groups and trainings, with a focus on cultural diversity, human development, and mental health.
- Licensed or licensed eligible.
- Ability to effectively counsel children and families, present professionally, and work within a team format.
