Make a Difference in the Lives of Children and Families

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a key member of our school-based mental health program, you will provide critical support to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual consultation to teachers to enhance the learning environment for children at risk of developing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse problems.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and school staff.
  • Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop effective interventions.
  • Provide training and education to teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.
  • Collaborate with families and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work.
  • 2 years of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health principles and practices, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Licensed or licensed eligible in the state of Tennessee.
