Position Overview: Cashier

The Cashier position plays a vital role in shaping the customer's overall experience during their visit to Tapestry by utilizing exceptional service skills at the Cashwrap. A Cashier's capacity to deliver friendly and efficient service is essential for fostering a positive shopping atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a memorable first impression
  • Welcoming customers with a friendly demeanor and maintaining eye contact
  • Engaging authentically with customers
  • Representing the Insider Program with enthusiasm

Engaging customers in both verbal and non-verbal communication at the Cashwrap and in line when necessary.

Reading customer cues to identify their needs and preferences.

Exhibiting a high level of integrity when handling customer information, ensuring confidentiality as required by law.

Conducting end-of-shift audits in collaboration with store management.

Managing returns in accordance with company policy.

Processing repairs in partnership with management while adhering to established guidelines.

Labeling and ticketing damaged or scrap returns with management's assistance.

Supporting the training and development of new Cashiers alongside management.

Monitoring and reporting any equipment malfunctions to management.

Maintaining SKU accuracy and ensuring the Cashwrap area is organized and clean.

Encouraging customers to consider additional purchases and promoting gift card sales.

Accurately handling cash and media in compliance with company policies.

Delivering purchased products to customers in a professional manner.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience: 1-3 years of cashier experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred. Current knowledge of fashion trends and market competition is beneficial.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficient in cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the use of mobile devices and internet applications.

Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods.
