About the Role

Bennett Thrasher is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Transaction Advisory team. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in facilitating and leading buy-side, sell-side, and related transaction advisory engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Work effectively in teams to provide quality service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Financial Analysis: Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives, and utilize that knowledge throughout engagements.
  • Communication: Communicate appropriately (both verbally and electronically) to clients and firm associates, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
  • Financial Due Diligence: Understand fundamental accounting concepts and apply them in the financial due diligence work, including the development of financial data books and preparation of quality of earnings, cash proof, working capital, net debt, and other ad-hoc financial analyses.
  • Project Management: Manage and prepare data requests, track key issues identified during the deal process, and coordinate and facilitate conference calls and management meetings with client and target companies.
  • Leadership: Effectively manage staff, as needed, and contribute to new ideas on internal processes and client engagements.
  • Communication and Feedback: Practice timely and effective communication to management and engagement team regarding performance, including any related obstacles, and give and receive feedback to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts.
  • Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of assignments to ensure timely completion and professional development, and demonstrate integrity, objectivity, and a high standard of ethics.
Qualifications
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Prior transaction advisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements, proficiency in Excel modeling, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong commitment to professional and client service excellence, proven time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
