As a Patient Care Assistant in the MICU, you will work under the direct guidance of a registered nurse to deliver both direct and indirect care to patients in a critical environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensure:
- Current certification in CPR (Heart Saver)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Must hold a current registration with the State of Maryland Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Experience:
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 6 months of experience in direct patient care settings.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in reading and writing English to ensure effective communication and understanding of patient care instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously with patients, visitors, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
- Ability to safely manage and administer medications as required.
