Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in providing direct patient care, including phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, and vital signs.
  • Maintain examination rooms, stock supplies, and perform medical office clerical duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate patients for preventive or other care, such as immunizations, eye exams, and pain management.
  • Respond to patient questions, assist with dressing and undressing, and chaperone patients as needed.
  • Review diagnostic results and report abnormal findings to physicians.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant may be substituted for years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to distinguish normal from abnormal diagnostic results.
  • Ability to pass a medication calculation test with an 85% or better prior to hire.
Work Environment

Exposure to disinfectant and detergent solutions, as well as human specimens.

Pay Range

$26.03 per hour. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, and alignment with our organizational needs.
