General Maintenance Worker III

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable General Maintenance Worker III to join our team at Skookum Aerospace Manufacturing. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning roof drains and gutters, replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets, and caulk plumbing kitchen fixtures.
- Communicate and interact directly with customers and supervisors, informing them of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, and ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
- Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
- Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies, and maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, decks, stoops, and sidewalks.
- 3 years of facilities maintenance experience required.
- Ability to learn a wide variety of building and ground maintenance required.
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
