Building and Land Technology is seeking a highly skilled Residential Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to our residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports for multiple residential properties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accounting Functions: Maintain monthly work papers, prepare work papers and analyses required for annual audits, and record monthly journal entries.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for our residential properties.
  • Communication: Interact with operations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams as needed.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, with 1+ year of experience in real estate accounting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines, strong communication skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Software: Experience with real estate accounting software.
