Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Specialist to join our team at Commonwealth Electrical Technologies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

You will work closely with other estimators, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely completion of estimates and client-required documents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Estimate Development: Review specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials for an estimate.
  2. Takeoff Production: Produce estimates takeoff using various methods (comprehensive, median, historical, conceptual).
  3. Supplier Identification: Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for accuracy with plans and specifications.
  4. Project Handover: Meet with Project Management and operations to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and other aspects for a successful transition.
  5. Timely Completion: Responsible for the timely completion of all estimates and client-required documents.
  6. Scope Clarification: Write scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience as an Electrical Estimator
  • High school diploma and additional specialized training
  • Ability to read and write in English

We estimate that the salary for this role will be approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
