Responsibilities:

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Evaluation, treatment, and education of neuro-rehab patients, including planning, organizing, and coordination of recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education.
  • Assessing capabilities, interests, and barriers, and monitoring progress to recommend changes or modifications to the program as required.
  • Performing home assessments and assisting patients with transition to home and community.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and CTRS designation.
  • Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must.
