Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients
  • Consult with supervising physician as needed
  • Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients
  • Initiate treatment and testing required for illness evaluation
  • Provide counseling and instruction to patients
  • Document clinical care of patient
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as directed by supervising physician
  • Communicate with patients and family members in accordance with confidentiality guidelines

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field
  • 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant
  • PA licensure and certification
  • Ongoing board certification as required for licensure

Work Environment

  • Working indoors 67% or more
  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards
  • Tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
  • Light work
