Job Opportunity

Ettleson Cadillac Buick GMC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our Service Department.

We are a Union shop proud to offer Union pay and benefits, and we need a Journeyman proficient in diagnosis and repair to complete our team.

The ideal candidate will have valid ASE certification documentation or documented years of mechanical work experience or completion of an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform safety inspections, oil changes, and maintenance tasks on vehicles.
  • Inspect engines, transmissions, and other components, and run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for service work completed.
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle users.
  • Keep logs and reports on all issues.

Requirements:

  • Valid ASE certification or documented years of mechanical work experience.
  • Own tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of General Motors experience.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
