Job Summary:

United Parcel Service Inc. is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles and heavy-duty on-road tractors from various manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair a variety of vehicles, including diesel and gasoline-powered equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Use power and pneumatic tools to complete tasks.

Requirements:

  • Active driver's license issued by the state.
  • Ability to work 4PM to Midnight shifts.
  • Possession of required hand tools.
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Required to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.
  • Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.
  • Available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs.
  • Wears personal protective equipment as required.
  • Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity.
