Job Summary

The State of Connecticut is seeking a skilled Healthcare Policy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Healthcare Policy and Benefit Services division, you will play a critical role in shaping the state's healthcare policy and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on healthcare policy and data to inform decision-making
  • Assist in the design and implementation of value-based reimbursement arrangements with healthcare providers
  • Work closely with the Senior Health Policy Associate and report to the Assistant Division Director
  • Liaise directly with healthcare providers and customer service teams at insurance carriers
  • Participate in statewide advisory councils and coordinate state policies
Requirements
  • Experience working in health policy setting, including understanding current trends and issues
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build consensus and present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Experience working with or for provider groups, value-based reimbursement frameworks, and project management
