Job Title: Technical Writing Manager

At ServiceNow, we're looking for a skilled Technical Writing Manager to join our team. As a Technical Writing Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the content strategy for our product documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Information Development leadership to plan resource distribution across scrum teams and adjust as needed.
  • Work with content-producing teams to share knowledge and avoid duplicating efforts.
  • Regularly check in with development team managers for feedback and course correction.
  • Meet with direct reports on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for performance-related conversations.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews, provide feedback, and recognize outstanding efforts.
  • Recruit top talent who excel in information development and teamwork.
  • Support the team in developing product documentation for current and future releases.
  • Review content regularly, provide feedback on progress, and ensure adherence to standards.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience writing software documentation for a technical audience.
  • 3+ years of team management experience.
  • Strong background in HTML, XML, and DITA.
  • High level of creativity, flexibility, and dependability.
  • Experience with scripting, APIs, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of documenting complex administration systems processes in a SAAS environment.
