Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatry III to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing advanced psychiatric assessment and treatment services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer quality and appropriate specialized psychiatric treatments, assessments, and procedures as needed
  • Review and analyze system data to ensure treatment plans are effective and decisions are made in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
  • Provide consultation and training to behavioral health and direct care staff as needed
  • Participate in Peer Review Committees for performance improvement and contribute to the development of guidelines and standards of care
  • Supervise and guide the work of others in the multi-disciplinary approach to resident care
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in psychiatry or a related field
  • Extensive experience in psychiatric assessment and treatment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
