Job Summary

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a highly skilled Jr. Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase goods and services from vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize ERP exception reporting to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of stock items.
  • Research and evaluate vendors, collecting pricing, quotes, and specifications to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Process purchase orders and stock order transfers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and resolve invoicing discrepancies with vendors, ensuring accurate payment and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Communicate with internal teams, including engineering and estimating, to ensure seamless sourcing and cutsheet support.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proven negotiation and vendor relationship skills, with the ability to secure the best value for the company.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
Education and Experience
  • Associates degree in a related field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with occasional need to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to traverse the production floor as needed, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
