Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs, explaining procedures to patients, and positioning patients for optimal imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas
  • Explain procedures to patients and position them for optimal imaging
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures
  • Accurately process images for optimal quality and match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation
  • Charge radiographic procedures and demonstrate acceptable film quality standards
  • Provide education and training to affiliated radiology technology programs and new technologists
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification
  • Experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist, with a minimum of two years' experience for Level II and four years' experience for Level III
  • BLS certification
