Job Title: Registered Technologist: RadiologyJob Summary

Raleigh Radiology is seeking a highly skilled Registered Technologist: Radiology to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiography services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiography procedures, including x-rays, fluoroscopy, and bone density scans, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Coordinate patient care, including obtaining initial histories, assessing patients, and documenting patient information.
  • Assess patient physical and psychological state, prioritize needs, and respond appropriately to meet those needs.
  • Administer contrast to assigned patients and assist with specific tests and procedures as needed.
  • Participate in economical utilization of supplies and maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained supplied environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve job duties and assist others in accomplishing theirs.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or commiserate experience with ARRT registration.
  • Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred.
  • AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Registered as Radiologic Technologists with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R)(ARRT), at time of hire.
Desired Skills
  • Basic patient care skills, including first aid and BLS.
  • Excellent technical skills in diagnostic radiography.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions based on patient condition, and follow directions.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Must be able to read without strain printed material the size of typewriter characters, glasses permitted, and the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, or the ability to compensate satisfactorily.

May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Frequent, prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Lifts, positions, pushes, or transfers patients. Lifting of supply boxes. Subject to rotating holidays or shifts.

Nature of Supervision

Supervised by: Clinical Manager or Senior Manager of Practice Operations.

Supervises: None.

Instruction / Assistance / Review of Work: The Registered Technologists function with oversight by the Radiologists, Clinical Manager, and Senior Manager Clinical Operations although considerable independent work is required.
