We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing digital systems to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair sophisticated building environment and energy management control systems.
- Utilize knowledge of various electronic or digital controls systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software to meet customer needs.
- Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with branch manager, service manager, service project manager, or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities and ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings to ensure accuracy.
- May assist with job layouts and bid proposals to support business growth.
- Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety and ethical standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in extensive training to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines and expand skill set.
- Complete certifications as required by the company to demonstrate expertise.
- May provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software to ensure accurate documentation.
- Vocational School four-year program graduate, an Associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
- Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
- Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
- Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
- Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $45, determined by the CBA/rate sheet, and benefits provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
