USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in preparing and delivering medications to patients. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver medications to patients using a variety of transport mechanisms
Fill stat medication orders and prepare medication carts for distribution
Operate and maintain equipment, reporting any malfunctions or broken equipment
Restock work areas by transferring stock or filling carts/drawers, including emergency stock
Maintain current and adequate medication and supplies
Utilize correct documentation tools and procedures for all pharmacy functions
Maintain accurate and complete records
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and supply areas
Adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards and abide by all compliance requirements and hospital policies
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Registry with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Completion of an ALBOP-approved hospital technician training course within six months of registration
Completion of sterile compounding training with USA Health
Experience preferred
