Key Responsibilities
The Court Operations Associate will engage in a dynamic and detail-oriented role with a range of essential duties, including:

  • Executing comprehensive court operations tasks within designated units, which may encompass case management in areas such as probate, jury, traffic, criminal, civil, juvenile, and family law.
  • Utilizing electronic systems to initiate and maintain case records, ensuring accurate documentation of parties, events, and legal proceedings.
  • Conducting research and monitoring the status of cases, while efficiently managing court calendars and scheduling.
  • Providing support to judges, attorneys, and the public by addressing inquiries through various communication channels.
  • Processing payments for court-related fees and managing financial transactions accurately.
  • Performing in-court duties, including real-time case updates and documentation management during sessions.
  • Employing technology and office equipment to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education and experience that demonstrates their ability to succeed in this role:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a legal or administrative capacity is preferred.
  • Additional education in Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with court systems and procedures, particularly the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in modern office practices and customer service.
