Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at NARDA HOLDINGS, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production processes
- Manage daily manufacturing operations, including workflow integration, timely production, budgetary conformance, and staffing resource utilization
- Act as a liaison between coworkers and management to ensure effective communication and decision-making
- Ensure adherence to quality and process procedures in the production department
- Assist and advise others to resolve problems and implement permanent corrective action
- Delegate responsibilities, provide guidance, and direction to direct reports and coworkers
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and improve quality
- Coordinate production with purchasing, shipping logistics, and project management
- Administer or assist in coordination of various programs, including ISO, cost reduction, facility security, staffing, and hourly wage administration
- Emphasize the importance of and monitor compliance to appropriate safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all plant productivity, quality, and safety goals are achieved
- Provide oversight of calibration schedules for production equipment
- Prepare reporting and be accountable for WIP reconciliation
- 5-10 years of prior operational management experience in manufacturing
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing systems and a good working knowledge of processes and products
- Formal electronics training via military or trade school preferred
- Organized with a resourceful approach toward collaborative solutions when implementing improvements and corrective actions
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Understanding of quality principles and techniques
- Advanced teambuilding and people management skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to calculate production job costs and monitor appropriate manufacturing times
- Able to provide guidance, direction, goals, feedback, discipline, and delegate authority
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make quick decisions
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask
- Experience with an ERP system (EPICOR) highly preferred
- Knowledge of safety practices and a demonstrated commitment to maintain them
- ESD Awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
- Duties will require the ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs
- Must have the ability to obtain security clearance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Onsite in Sparks, MD with a 9/80 schedule. Every other Friday OFF.
