About the Role

The University of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Credential Programs in the Student Recruitment and Global Outreach (SRGO) team. This is a key role that will play a critical part in the development and implementation of non-degree credential programs at the Harris School of Public Policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote and market non-degree credential programs to potential students.
    • Manage the full cycle of non-degree credential programs, including recruitment, admissions, and student experience.
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and deliver high-quality programs that meet the needs of students and stakeholders.
  • Marketing and Outreach
    • Develop and execute marketing plans to attract students to non-degree credential programs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with institutional partners, academic institutions, and employers to promote non-degree credential programs.
    • Coordinate outreach and recruitment activities, including on-campus events, webinars, and social media campaigns.
  • Student Experience and Support
    • Design and deliver a comprehensive student experience that includes orientation, course scheduling, and academic support.
    • Manage the matriculation process, including student communication, coordination with University Registrar, Bursar, and Student Affairs team.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement
    • Monitor and evaluate program performance, using data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
    • Develop and implement plans to enhance program quality, student satisfaction, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • At least 1-2 years of related program management experience in an educational setting.
    • Experience with the University of Chicago or other peer institutions, and/or student-facing experiences.
    • Experience within one or more of the functions such as program design, partnership development, marketing, student advising, curriculum design.
  • Preferred Competencies
    • Result-driven mindset and workstyle.
    • Great attention-to-detail level and multi-tasking ability.
    • Strong self-management and accountability.
    • Strong student service mentality.
    • Agile communication style and active listening skills to work with different stakeholders.
