Benefits Analyst Job Description

Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a skilled Benefits Analyst to join our Denver, CO team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in servicing the needs of our employee benefit clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Account Executives/Benefits Consultants in preparing requests for proposals, renewals of benefit coverages, contracts, summary plan descriptions, agreements, etc.
  • Work closely with clients and markets to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Perform routine service functions for clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of benefits.
  • Collaborate with Consultants to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.
  • Review contracts, summary plan descriptions, agreements, etc., for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefit programs and develop strategies to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Manage the benefit renewal delivery and confirmation process, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Develop and deliver benefit marketing materials, presentations, and other client communications as requested.
  • Support clients during open enrollment preparation and execution, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Provide compliance updates and notices to clients, addressing questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage internal client audit processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in market meetings, seminars, and training programs as directed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in employee benefits, with a thorough understanding of benefits programs and regulations.
  • Must obtain and maintain active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License within one year of employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of compliance and regulations in the benefits arena.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently, exercising sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills, capable of interpreting data and interacting with clients on a time-sensitive basis.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client requirements.
