Position Overview: The Senior Project Leader will report directly to the President of ARTAZN, taking charge of significant and intricate projects from their inception to successful completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within defined parameters, and adhering to budget constraints. The Senior Project Leader will spearhead cross-functional teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and guide cross-functional teams in executing complex projects, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities while cultivating a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Create and uphold a comprehensive project timeline using Microsoft Project or similar project management tools, employing advanced methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Oversee a portfolio of intricate projects, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to guarantee project coherence and support.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Manage project budgets meticulously.
  • Prepare proposals, business cases, and cost estimates for review by the leadership team.
  • Encourage collaboration among business partner leadership teams and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct project evaluations and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in process and project management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in project management.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities to effectively motivate, mentor, and guide junior project managers and team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities to strategically plan, drive change, and develop a high-performing project team.
  • In-depth understanding of functional business processes, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage escalations and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and end-users at all organizational levels.
  • Robust problem-solving abilities, including analysis, organizational planning, project management, decision-making, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in creating and managing schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in computer usage with a strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or information technology, or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience with a proven track record in leading complex business projects.
  • Experience in mentoring and leadership roles is preferred.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI ACP) is advantageous.
  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit intermittently for computer use, paperwork, and meetings.
  • Intermittent standing and mobility to access various departments.
  • Ability to climb stairs to reach upper-level work areas.
  • Finger dexterity for computer use and paperwork activities.
  • Visual acuity for computer use and reading documents.
  • Hearing ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
