Supervisor: Asset Manager

Job Summary: As an Asset Management Analyst at Compatriot, you will play a pivotal role in delivering analytical support to the asset management team, aiding in the oversight and enhancement of Compatriot's varied real estate portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of asset management functions, including financial analysis, reporting, and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of Compatriot's strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver analytical assistance to asset managers by developing and maintaining financial models, conducting market assessments, and performing data analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing the current real estate portfolio.
  • Coordinate with asset managers and portfolio managers to ensure the effective execution of investment strategies on stabilized assets.
  • Assist in the organization of asset valuations and appraisals.
  • Conduct site evaluations as necessary to assess property conditions and performance metrics.
  • Gather, review, and catalog reports, financial statements, and other relevant materials from portfolio companies in accordance with established protocols.
  • Identify and report significant deviations from business plans or forecasts to senior management.
  • Assist in generating detailed financial projections for individual assets and the overall portfolio.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management review.
  • Assist in the evaluation of property-level budgets and their integration into the annual Compatriot plan for submission to Sammons.
  • Help establish scalable processes and procedures for portfolio management and asset management functions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a data strategy and platform for the Compatriot portfolio.
  • Engage in ongoing asset management activities, including assessing operator and property performance against underwriting and ensuring adherence to business plans.
  • Collaborate with property management partners, insurance brokers, lending partners, brokers, tax consultants, and legal advisors to provide guidance and oversight for business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analyses, and approvals.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as required to address operational or capital challenges and identify new opportunities for enhancing property value.

Education and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with a strong academic record; a graduate degree is advantageous.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate, finance, or consulting is preferred.
  • Excellent financial, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects within team environments.
  • Proficient in Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and open to adopting new technologies utilized across the company's portfolio.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to travel for property inspections and site evaluations as needed.
  • Availability to work in the corporate office as required.
