Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering, particularly with Windows and Linux environments
  • Expertise in DLP and Information Protection, focusing on DLP Engineering, environment construction, and disaster recovery planning
  • Familiarity with fundamental networking principles

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell

Role Overview:

The Platform Engineering team at Apex Systems is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Cyber Security Engineer. This role is crucial in fortifying and broadening our cyber security initiatives, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure from unauthorized access or loss. As a vital member of the Platform Engineering team, the selected candidate will be tasked with the core engineering of security platforms, including but not limited to Broadcom Data Loss Prevention (DLP), secure messaging systems, data classification, digital rights management, Microsoft DLP, and Office Message Encryption (OME).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and integrate selected information protection solutions within existing or new technological frameworks.
  • Develop and document operational procedures for the deployed solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment, operation, and maintenance of security solutions.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of projects related to the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of security solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing advanced support, training, and mentorship to teams involved in our security solutions.
  • Generate scheduled and on-demand reports and metrics for the implemented security solutions.
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support for client-facing helpdesks and IT support teams.
  • Deliver third-level support for production solutions within the Information Protection group.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in Change Control discussions related to the cyber security environment.
  • Maintain current and accurate operational procedure guides and solution diagrams.
