About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Sales Associate to join our team at Yoke's Fresh Markets. As a Deli Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and promoting sales through active discussions with guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, answer questions about products, and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Deli Operations: Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including the display cases, counters, and storage areas. Ensure that all products are properly labeled and rotated to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Sales Promotion: Engage with guests to promote sales and increase revenue. This includes offering product recommendations, discussing current promotions, and providing information about recipes and products.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food for daily business, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other deli items. Operate equipment such as the slicer, scales, and cash register.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other deli team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Language Skills: Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Mathematical Skills: Perform mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement, volume.
  • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
