Sports Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Sports Coordinator. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for assisting in the daily direction and management of our sports programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of sports programs, including organizing, delivering, and administering sports leagues, recreation programs, and activities.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, enhancing the member, program participant, and guest experience.
  • Manage day-to-day programming to ensure revenue, program goals, and expense targets are achieved.
  • Deliver sports programs directly to members and participants, and provide work direction to sports staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in sports programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage sports recreation program activities.
  • Knowledge of rules in sports recreation program activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Creative thinker with a history of applying innovation in programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build community relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-lingual.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to actively participate in youth games/activities.
  • Ability to travel locally to YMCA branches and other program sites.
