Job Summary:

This position is responsible for conducting thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately. The successful candidate will take corrective action when necessary, alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying and segregating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Additionally, this role will involve leading by example and motivating the hourly workforce, as well as possessing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under stress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems
  • Document and calculate results accurately
  • Take corrective action when necessary
  • Alert appropriate personnel to adjust processes
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming products
  • Report results to management
  • Lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills
  • Work well under stress

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete Tyson paperwork
  • Math and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications
  • Flexibility to work where and when needed
