Job Title: Recertification and Testing Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Recertification and Testing Manager to oversee the recertification and testing processes of mud handling equipment used in drilling operations. This role ensures that all equipment meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a recertification program for all mud handling equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is inspected, tested, and certified according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage documentation and records related to recertification activities.
  • Coordinate with third-party certifying agencies and auditors.
  • Plan and execute regular testing of mud handling systems, including pumps, shakers, centrifuges, and mixers.
  • Analyze test results and coordinate with engineering teams to address any deficiencies or failures.
  • Ensure that testing procedures comply with safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure that all mud handling equipment is properly maintained and ready for recertification and testing.
  • Provide guidance on preventive maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in mud handling and drilling operations.
  • Ensure that all recertification and testing activities comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on proper testing and certification procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all recertification and testing activities for audit purposes.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the progress of recertification and testing programs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management within the oil and gas or mud handling industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to mud handling equipment. Proficiency in using maintenance management software
  • Travel may be required to various job sites for inspections and certifications.
  • The role may require working in harsh environments, such as offshore rigs or remote drilling sites.
  • The position may involve extended hours and on-call duties to address emergencies or urgent repairs.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle/feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also have to do some lifting to 45 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be inclined to inclement weather including, but not limited to, extreme heat and/or cool temperatures.
