Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under the direction of a physician to identify abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis.
  • Prioritize and schedule exams, coordinating with medical staff, physician offices, and other caregivers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Prepare patients for exams by following identification processes, educating patients and families on procedures, and transporting patients as needed.
  • Conduct ultrasound exams consistent with related protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring patient safety and comfort while achieving quality outcomes.
  • Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique.
  • Accurately document exam results and other necessary information, charging for exams and supplies as required.
Requirements
  • ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Must achieve one of three national registry credentials through ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI as applicable to the department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Physical Requirements

This role requires ongoing visual and auditory attention, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and transport patients and equipment. Regularly interacts with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, requiring effective verbal communication and hearing skills.

Work Environment

This position is based at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah, with a scheduled weekly hours of 40. The hourly range for this position is $57.80, with a comprehensive benefits package available to our caregivers.
