Job Summary

Hitachi Astemo is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, installing, and modifying manufacturing equipment control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, install, and modify manufacturing equipment control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using standardized root cause analysis techniques
  • Support manufacturing plant VA / VE (Value Add / Value Engineering)
  • Provide guidance and direction to other associates
  • Train associates, develop schematics, deliver presentations, manage projects, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education
  • Knowledge of control systems, mechanics, pneumatics, and factory floor equipment programming
  • 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly processes
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Expert PLC programmer, Robots (Fanuc, Motoman, Yamaha, and Mitsubishi), Weber screwdriver, Nordson Spray System, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic programming

Work Environment

  • May require up to 20% travel
  • Open office setting
  • Factory setting with noise
