Job Summary

Hitachi Astemo is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing equipment control systems. Your expertise in control systems, mechanics, and factory floor equipment programming will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, install, and modify manufacturing equipment control systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using standardized root cause analysis techniques
• Support manufacturing plant VA / VE (Value Add / Value Engineering)
• Provide guidance and direction to other associates
• Train associates, develop schematics, deliver presentations, manage projects, etc.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education
• Knowledge of control systems, mechanics, pneumatics, and factory floor equipment programming
• 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly processes
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Expert PLC programmer, Robots (Fanuc, Motoman, Yamaha, and Mitsubishi), Weber screwdriver, Nordson Spray System, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic programming

Work Environment

• May require up to 20% travel
• Open office setting
• Factory setting with noise
