HNTB North Texas is in search of a Hydraulic Engineering Specialist II.

Our office boasts a rich history of executing intricate projects for various clients.

Our diverse workforce of over 125 professionals across multiple locations promotes a vibrant, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture.

We also provide numerous avenues for employee and community involvement through our dedicated People Committee.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete assigned tasks within the designated timeframe and hours.

Prepare and/or modify specific sections of project documentation, including reports, designs, and calculations.

Develop project quantities and assist in the formulation of cost estimates.

Support engineering teams with the organization and administrative management of design files.


Independently execute various tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to research, data gathering, field assessments, and project development and design.

Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or

A Master's degree in Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience.

Primary Focus Areas:
Hydrology and Hydraulics work on water resource projects.

Stormwater design for transportation initiatives.

Assist Senior Engineers and Project Managers in overseeing the design review process.

Preparation of construction documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.

Required Skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in applying engineering principles, including geometric and algebraic concepts in your work.

Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD or other relevant software as necessary for job assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:
EIT Certification
Understanding of basic Hydrology & Hydraulics principles.

Familiarity with HEC RAS, HEC HMS, and HY8.

Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D, and ORD.
