Manufacturing Engineer II

At Abbott, we're seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer II to join our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our team is dedicated to developing innovative implantable devices that help people with chronic pain and movement disorders. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with advanced development, mechanical engineering, and process development teams to select the right polymers for our future implantable devices, ensuring long-term performance and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain approval to proceed with proposed action plans, establish networks, and follow through on project goals.
  • Build relationships, initiate and cultivate open, honest relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Establish relationships and good communication channels with customers, search for ways to increase customer satisfaction, and document agreements and commitments.
  • Comply with all regulations and standards for quality, Environment, Health, Safety, and Energy (EHS&E) Global Policies, Abbott Engineering Standards, and other governance areas as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding, or skill, and willingly absorb and comprehend Abbott processes, policies, and methods.
  • Good human relation skills in both implementing and coordinating efforts involved across several disciplines.
