Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and refine engineering calculations, technical documentation, design plans, and specifications.
  • Work alongside project managers to facilitate research, development, calculations, design, and project execution.
  • Address design challenges, maintain client communication, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Develop both conceptual and detailed designs utilizing advanced tools and software, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and distribute discipline-specific tasks while ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives, including proposal development.
  • Help define project scopes and efforts within the engineering discipline.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and thoroughness of the technical team's output and guide them towards achieving project objectives.
  • Coordinate technical elements with clients and team collaborators, engaging in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Work closely with other disciplines on integrated projects.
  • Complete additional assigned responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Main Focus Areas:

  • Contribute to Hydrology and Hydraulic projects.
  • Design stormwater management systems for transportation initiatives.
  • Support the Hydrology and Hydraulic department through various engineering tasks on assigned projects.
  • Assist Project Managers in conducting design reviews.
  • Prepare construction documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understand the impact of technical decisions on design and planning.
  • Effectively coordinate work planning and design across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs within established timelines, budgets, and scopes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fundamental Hydrology and Hydraulic principles.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Familiarity with HEC RAS, HEC-HMS, and HY8 software.
  • Proficiency in Autocad/Microstation, Civil 3D, and ORD.
