Senior MRI Research Technologist

Department: Neurology

Employment Type: Part-Time

Job Code: 78991BR

Position Overview

*This is a limited, part-time role with a duration of one year from the start date.
The Neurology Department is seeking an MRI technologist to assist with research imaging initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to engage as a research MRI technologist. While the position is part-time, there is potential for additional hours on the clinical side if desired. This role could serve as a supplementary opportunity for experienced technologists or a consistent part-time position to gain exposure to areas beyond typical clinical practice.

The work involves utilizing a Siemens 3T scanner to support clinical trials and investigator-led studies, primarily focusing on conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease.
You will be responsible for patient care, collaborating with research coordinators, and have the chance to learn about data networking, image processing, institutional review boards (IRBs), and study design.

Patients participating in these studies volunteer their time to contribute to scientific research, making a strong customer care orientation essential. Attention to detail is crucial as the integrity of the research relies on precision. This role offers a rare opportunity to make a significant impact both individually and on a broader scale.

** This is a limited, part-time position for one year from the date of hire.
