Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced transportation engineer to join our team as a Roadway Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in planning, engineering design, and construction of transportation infrastructure for public agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related to transportation projects.
  • Mentor and supervise technical support personnel assigned to projects.
  • Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs and project requirements.
  • Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design.
  • Support studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher.
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and complex modeling design.
  • Nebraska and/or South Dakota Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire.
