This is a Full-Time Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares and/or portions food items (including beverages, salads, desserts, and other items as directed by the supervisor) for both regular and specialized diets in accordance with the planned menu and production sheets.
  • Handles food with proper food safety and hygiene practices in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that meals are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner. Utilizes appropriate tasting techniques to confirm that quality standards are met prior to serving.
  • Maintains appropriate food temperatures during preparation and service, documenting food temperatures as per established guidelines.
  • Adheres to procedures for serving meals to partners.
  • Engages effectively with residents and their families, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere while addressing any concerns with a caring and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum educational requirement of a 10th-grade level.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Capable of interpreting and executing written or verbal policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Effective communication skills.
