Job Summary

As a Spiritual Care Provider with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and care to residents, their families, and employees. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while upholding the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual pastoral care to residents and their families, addressing their spiritual needs and concerns.
  • Administer and coordinate the administration of sacraments, ensuring that residents have access to spiritual care and support.
  • Develop and participate in spiritual life programming, including worship and Bible study opportunities, to promote a sense of community and connection among residents.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the meeting of residents' spiritual needs and provide education on spiritual and religious care to internal and external healthcare groups.
  • Network with community clergy and other faith leaders as needed to provide comprehensive spiritual support.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Theology with a Master of Divinity or Master of Theology degree.
  • Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education or certification/credentialed as a chaplain, with endorsement or affirmation for this ministry by a denomination.
  • Previous pastoral experience and ordination, licensure, or commissioning to function in a religious vocation.
