Job Title: Crime Victim Support Specialist

The City of Brighton seeks a skilled Crime Victim Support Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Office for Victim Assistance, this role will provide critical support to victims of crime in the cities of Brighton, Commerce City, Fort Lupton, and Lochbuie.

About the Role:
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with law enforcement agencies, courts, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Colorado criminal justice system and be able to provide informed guidance to victims on their rights and options.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide crisis intervention and support to victims of crime
* Assist victims in navigating the criminal justice system
* Develop and maintain relationships with community service providers and other stakeholders
* Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective response to victim needs

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology, criminology)
* 2+ years' experience in victim advocacy or a related field
* Strong knowledge of the Colorado criminal justice system
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits:
$27.21 - $28.84 per hour, depending on experience. The City of Brighton offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
