Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Job Summary:

Kettering Home Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. As an OTA, you will provide home-based therapy services to patients, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services as ordered by the attending physician, observing and monitoring patient conditions and notifying the Occupational Therapist of any changes.
  • Assess functional problems and provide intervention to improve patient functional status, working towards goals in conjunction with the occupational therapist.
  • Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and proper use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
  • Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, communicating changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) with current license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum one-year experience as a OTA in an acute care setting.
  • Home care experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
  • Capable of all physical demands.
