Job Title: Health Services Specialist

Seaboard Triumph Food is seeking a skilled Health Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our health services department, you will play a critical role in providing medical care and support to our employees.

Job Summary:

The Health Services Specialist will provide triage and direct appropriate medical care to employees who are injured on the job. This includes treating injuries, maintaining workers' compensation files, and communicating with claimants and management personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage and treat work-related injuries in accordance with company protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of employee work comp claims in CCMSI's ICE system
  • Communicate effectively with health services department members, workers' compensation manager, and operation management on claimant status and issues
  • Act as a liaison between health professionals, work comp adjusters, and management regarding injured employees
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical data in accordance with HIPPA regulations
Requirements:
  • Emergency medical technician certification, nursing diploma, or equivalent
  • Current certification to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Minimum 2 years of directly related work experience in emergency healthcare
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety files and medical terminology
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish a plus
Work Environment:

The Health Services Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service to employees. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with diverse groups.

This is a full-time position with a normal work schedule of Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
